It’s FREE and as easy as pie to enter – all we ask is that you’re something a bit special. The final takes place on TUESDAY 5th JUNE at The Lexington in London.
The Shortlist
Every submission is listened to, and whittled down to a shortlist of 20 acts, who are then sent to key tastemakers. These have previously included So Young Magazine, Dots and Dashes, Too Many Blogs, London On The Inside, Folk Radio, Goldflake Paint, A Sound Reaction, Buzz Magazine.
The Final
Each tastemaker chooses their top 6 artists. The average top 6 across all tastemakers then go on to play the final, playing live in front of a judging panel which has previously included MOJO, the Guardian, 6 Music, Creative Artist Agency, Domino Records, NME/Beats, United Talent Agency, Beggars Record Label and (of course) Green Man.
The 2018 live final will take place on the evening of Tuesday 5th June at The Lexington, London’s legendary music venue.
The winner of Green Man Rising will open our iconic Mountain Stage on Friday 17th August, 2018, appearing on the same bill as legendary acts like Fleet Foxes, The War on Drugs and Grizzly Bear, while the other finalists will perform on the Rising Stage.
